FAQs

What style of church is SOS?

You won’t find yourself sitting in a pew if that’s what you mean. We keep it casual, and we keep it real. Our Bridge Worship Experience is a blend of rocking music and relevant teaching from God’s word useful for living the best God life you possibly can on a daily basis. Did we mention we have an intermission? Yes, an intermission. Need to refill your coffee? No problem! Whether you take time to mingle with new people, re-connect with old friends, grab some more java, or just stretch your legs, intermission is a small time we take during the Bridge Worship Experience that allows you to do just that. We dare you to show up and see what all the fuss is about.

What do I wear?

Whatever you want to wear! Doesn’t matter. As long as you’re comfortable, you’ll fit right in. Jeans, shorts, skirts, boots, heels and sneakers. We like ‘em all. You might even see a retro tie once in a while. No matter your style we will have your coffee ready for you when you show up!

What is a Social Connection?

Trying to get out the door as fast as possible when you go to church? It’s okay, most people do. We want to get to know you and we want you to get to know others. We plan Social Connections for people to connect with people and get familiar with faces they see flood in and out of SOS every week. These Social Connections have been everything from crazy flag football games to lazy BBQs  in the park. Don’t miss the next one, you may just get tackled!

Is there anything for kids or teens?

SOS provides a comfortable and exciting place for all kids and teens to come hang out each and every Sunday.

  • Babies and toddlers will receive tender love and care for in our SOS Lil’ K area and enjoy hearing about how God loves them and God made them.
  • Kids in grades K-6 hang out in SOS Big Kids, the ultimate kid zone on any given weekend, where they sing songs, play games, and learn about who God is all in a high energy environment.
  • Teens 7th-12th grade get to experience our Bridge Worship Experience before hanging out and participating in our Teen Life discussions on how a real God can help with real problems.

Teen Life and SOS Kids often have outside activities planned for your kiddos to get involved outside of a weekend service. Whatever age your children are, we have a place for them!

What denomination is SOS?

SOS doesn’t promote one denomination because we feel the body of Christ is made up of all denominations. We are a full gospel church. Meaning we believe the written word in it’s entirety. Everyone’s welcome here!

We have many people at SOS who claim to be different denominations, but we simply call ourselves Christ followers on the journey of a lifetime. We are all taking steps toward Christ in the hopes of becoming more like Him along the way. Does this mean that we don’t mess up? No way! We all can get distracted and fall off the right path, but SOS gives us people who help us find our way back as we walk through life together. It’s all about your journey, and at SOS we say journey well!

What is Life 365 and why should I get involved?

A group of people that connects outside of SOS on a regular basis in the comfort of one’s home, generally the Life 365 leader, and you can always count on great food and great conversation. Life 365 bring real people together who share real experiences about the daily grind of what else? Life! Got questions about Sunday’s teaching topic? No sweat! Plug into Life 365 and get the opportunity to dig deeper into SOS’ monthly topic and discuss more with fellow Life 365 goers. Life is way too hard to do it alone so we encourage everyone to do life together by jumping into a Life 365.
